Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of APPsolute Play at appsoluteplay.com, operated by APPsolute Best, LLC ("APPsolute Best™," "we," "us," or "our"). They cover our games — Level Up Trivia, Monster Wars, and Lamped — and the game sessions we host for groups (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

Our company website and business services are governed by separate terms at appsolutebest.com.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian. By using the Services you confirm you meet these requirements.

If you are booking a session for a group that includes minors, you are responsible for having the appropriate permission for them to take part.

2. Hosted Sessions

We currently run game sessions on behalf of groups. The following applies when you book one.

Booking and scheduling

• A session is confirmed only when we confirm it — a request on its own does not reserve a slot.
• We will give you a session link in advance. The room code appears on that page once our host opens the room, shortly before the start time.
• Please tell us as early as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule, so we can free the slot.
• We may need to reschedule or cancel a session ourselves — for a technical problem, host availability, or anything else outside our control. We will tell you as soon as we know.

During a session

• Our host runs the game, manages the lobby, and controls pacing. They may remove a player whose conduct breaks the Acceptable Use rules below.
• You are responsible for the conduct of the people you invite.
• We do not record sessions. If you record your own group's session, that is between you and your participants.
• Sessions depend on each player's internet connection and browser. We cannot guarantee a flawless experience for every participant.

No wagering

Our sessions are for entertainment. We do not run games of chance for money, and we do not collect entry fees, stakes, or wagers.

If you use a session as part of a fundraiser, a raffle, or any event where money changes hands, you are solely responsible for complying with the charitable gaming, gambling, and fundraising laws that apply where you are. We are not a party to your event and provide no advice on it.

3. Accounts

Joining a game session does not require an account. Monster Wars does. Where an account applies, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information — a display name of your choosing; we do not need your real name
• Keep your credentials confidential
• Not share, sell, or transfer your account without our consent
• Accept responsibility for activity under your account

4. Acceptable Use

When using the Services, you agree not to:

• Use offensive, discriminatory, or impersonating nicknames or display names
• Harass, bully, or threaten other players or our hosts
• Send spam or unsolicited advertising in chat or in a session
• Use bots, scripts, or outside tools to gain an unfair advantage — including looking up trivia answers during a competitive match
• Exploit bugs rather than reporting them
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt our games, servers, or relay infrastructure
• Join a session you were not invited to, or share a room code outside the group it was given to
• Impersonate other players, hosts, or APPsolute Best™ staff

We may remove players, end sessions, or suspend accounts for conduct that breaks these rules.

5. Game-Specific Terms

Level Up Trivia

• Questions are provided for entertainment. We aim for accuracy but do not guarantee every answer is correct, and disputed questions are not grounds for compensation.
• Room codes and sessions are temporary. Session data is not retained after a room closes, so scores and standings are not recoverable afterwards.
• A host application is required to create a room. Players join through a web browser.

Monster Wars

• The game is in pre-alpha. Gameplay, balance, and progression are actively changing, and progress may be reset.
• Seasonal resets and territory changes are intended design, not faults.
• PvP combat, raids, and territory attacks are core features. Losses from PvP are not grounds for refunds or compensation.
• We may adjust balance, resource rates, and combat mechanics to keep play fair.

Lamped

• Fortunes and genie responses are AI-generated entertainment. They are not advice of any kind — financial, medical, legal, or otherwise — and should not be relied on.
• Daily limits and streak mechanics are part of the design.

6. Purchases

Some Services offer optional purchases. Where they do:

• Payment is handled by the platform's payment system, not by us
• Virtual items and currency have no real-world monetary value
• Purchases are non-refundable except where required by law or platform policy
• We may change pricing or availability at any time

7. Intellectual Property

Game code, art, character designs, question content, music, and trademarks in the Services are owned by or licensed to APPsolute Best™ and protected by intellectual property law.

You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes. Running a session for a commercial audience — a paid event, a client function, a monetised stream — needs our written permission first.

8. Your Content

Nicknames, chat messages, and feedback you create remain yours. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and moderate that content as needed to run the Services. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.

9. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Services running but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, change or discontinue features, or reset seasonal content as part of the game design. We are not liable for losses arising from interruptions or changes.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time, and can request account deletion by contacting us. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, disrupt other players, or where the law requires it.

11. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that they will be error-free, secure, or continuously available. Games described as pre-alpha or beta are explicitly unfinished.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, APPsolute Best™ is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services — including loss of data, loss of virtual items, a disrupted session, or interrupted gameplay.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Spokane County, Washington.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates are posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
